Get Our Kids to the International Seaperch Competition! image

Our Caring People Alliance SeaPerch team has done it again! After months of designing, building, and testing their underwater robot, our students placed 2nd in the Pool Competition and 1st Overall at the SeaPerch Regional aquatic robotics competition. This qualifies them for the International SeaPerch Challenge in Maryland on May 30th - May 31st.

This year, CPA is represented by team STAMIA. There's a whole lot in that name. Not just the first initials of each of our team members, STAMIA represents the hard work that each of these young people has invested in the competition and the bonds that they've forged through their time together. Each of these incredible kids has made a unique contribution, and they could think of no way to describe themselves that didn't feature them all equally. This is the kind of team spirit that championships are made from.

Of course, this experience goes far beyond competition. It gives our youth the chance to have fun working together, to explore new potential career paths, and to meet young people from across the world who share their interests. We are so proud of our team, and we are thrilled to support them at every opportunity. However, these opportunities do not come for free. Travel, lodging, supplies, registration, food—the list goes on. We want team STAMIA to be able to focus on the competition and not worry about logistics. To do that, we need your help.

We are asking all our supporters to consider a gift to our 2026 SeaPerch campaign. Your gift today will help team STAMIA show up ready to win on May 30th, and may even carry our kids onto careers in STEM that will serve them for the rest of their lives. If it is within your means, please give today. And if not, consider sharing this campaign via social media, email, or word of mouth. STAMIA will be representing our entire city at this competition, and all of Philly should hear about it!
